After an improved 2025 season, young GWS Giants midfielder Harry Rowston has hit the track with confidence as day one of pre-season starts.

Rowston played in 10 games for the Giants this year after not playing in 2024. The young gun averaged 11 disposals across the season, while having a standout game where he kicked four goals against the Suns in Round 23.

"I just think it was a good year for me to get a bit of comfortability within the team," he told media.

"I know I'm good enough to be at that level. I think confidence is everything in this game."

Recruit Clayton Oliver also hit the track on Monday, and Rowston spoke on what it is like to have a player of his calibre now at the club.

"I can't wait to get into the club and watch vision with him and pick his brain about what it is to be an elite midfielder," he said of the premiership Demon's arrival.

Rowston is also very eager about what the Giants' young core could become in the future.

"I think that the young core that we've got at the group at the moment is going to take us a long way into winning a few premierships, hopefully," he said.

After recently signing a two-year extension with the Giants, the 21-year-old is looking to improve once in 2026, hoping to become a more consistent player through the midfield group.
