Geelong are expected to have two defenders back for next week's trip to South Australia, while a third is also in the mix as he eyes a return from injury.
The Cats will head to Adelaide Oval this weekend to face Port Adelaide, with both sides coming off defeats from Round 9.
Geelong fell to GWS for the fifth time in a row at their home fortress of GMHBA Stadium, falling to Adam Kingsley's side to the tune of four points.
The loss has made Geelong susceptible to falling out of the top eight with another loss this week. However, their prospects of a victory against the Power will be lifted by the expected returns of defensive pair Tom Stewart (knee) and Lawson Humphries (concussion).
Coach Chris Scott confirmed after Sunday's loss to the Giants that the duo are expected to face Port Adelaide, while a call on premiership Cat Jack Henry will be made in the coming days.
Henry hasn't played since Round 4 due to a hamstring strain, with the Cats to weigh up whether to bring the key defender back for Round 10 or utilise his return the week after when the Cats have a short turnaround to face the Western Bulldogs.
"I think Stewart plays," Scott said of his potential ins for next week.
"I'm pretty sure Humphries, according to him after speaking to him today, he's a lock.
"The decision on Henry will be whether we decide to bring him straight back in, then have a five-day break into the Bulldogs. We'll think through that one.
"In these situations, it's really tempting to get involved because we would've loved to have Jack tonight and would love to have him next week, but this is where the coaches should take a step back and just let the experts do their work."
The Cats could have further players available for the clash with the Bulldogs in Round 11, with ruckman Rhys Stanley recovering from a hamstring injury, while young midfielder Mitch Knevitt could return through the VFL as early as next week as he looks to come back from a foot concern.
Veteran pair Cameron Guthrie (Achilles) and Jack Martin (managed) could be available before the club's Round 16 bye, with the duo listed to return in approximately three weeks.
The Cats face Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval on Saturday at 4:15pm (AEST) before matches against the Bulldogs, Eagles, Suns and Bombers prior to the bye.
