The 2025 AFLW fixture has been confirmed just over two months out from this year's season opener between Carlton and Collingwood.
The Blues and Pies will kickstart the 10th campaign of the Women's competition on Thursday, August 14, with West Coast and Gold Coast to clash in Perth later the same day.
The Round 1 draw will also see Geelong face reigning premiers North Melbourne at Kardinia Park on August 16, with the Roos to unveil their flag at Arden Street eight days later against Port Adelaide.
North Melbourne's grand final rematch against Brisbane is scheduled for Round 5 in Queensland on Sunday, September 14.
The Western Derby (Round 5), the Sydney Derby (Round 6), the QClash (Round 8) and the Showdown (Round 11) have also been confirmed.
Indigenous Round will be held across weeks three and four of the season, while Pride Round will also span a fortnight for Rounds 9 and 10.
The 2025 season will see 12 rounds played over as many weeks, finals to follow, finishing with the AFLW Grand Final on Saturday, November 29.
The AFL has also introduced a flexible fixture framework for the AFLW that will allow the competition to change start times if one club has an AFL fixture and AFLW fixture on the same weekend.
"As we head into the 10th season of the NAB AFLW competition, it is important to recognise the moments and match-ups in the game that have helped shape the league so far, while also nurturing the emerging rivalries and making it easy and accessible for fans to attend,โ the AFL's Josh Bowler said.
โThe fixture is always a complex jigsaw to piece together, and I'd like to thank all stakeholders, including club representatives, senior coaches, our broadcast partners, the AFLPA and our team, who have all worked incredibly hard to produce a fixture that enables fans to form even stronger connections with their team.
โGiven this is the first time we've launched the AFLW season within the men's home and away season with all 18 teams, it was important to ensure fans can support both teams during the crossover, so we've introduced a Flexible Fixture Framework for W games.
โThis will only come into play if one club's AFL and AFLW match windows are within one hour of overlapping, then we may have a slight time change to make sure one finishes before the other starts. Further to that, if a club is hosting two home games over one weekend, these will fall on different days to ensure the club can operationally deliver the best possible match-day experience for fans across two venues."
Round 12 of the AFLW season will not have the dates and times confirmed until later in the year to aid the clubs expected to play finals.
