From guernsey choices to strange hairdos, Jack Ginnivan's decision to don a stylish ring on his finger during a game has inspired a deep-dive into some of the AFL's top wardrobe malfunctions.
Ginnivan was outed by a Pies fan on social media, prompting the league to intervene with a warning.
The questionable decision doesn't stand alone over the years, and this article takes you through some less-than-memorable wardrobe choices.
7. Head scratcher - Terry Wallace headband an inspiration
When Footscray great Terry Wallace donned a tri-coloured headband to mimic the colours of the Bulldogs during his playing career, he wouldn't have thought it would be something to look up to.
Headbands in the VFL weren't foreign, with Carlton's Bruce 'flying doormat' Doull wearing the navy strip across his head.
But Wallace's bold call to sport the red, white and blue around his dome in the late 1980s and early 1990s was something that was remembered.
Former Melbourne player Jayden Hunt saw it as an inspiration, but such a fashion statement has since been outlawed by the game.

Hunt, in 2017, wore a Melbourne-themed headband, and wanted the AFL to reconsider its use.
Other users of the accessory was Peter "Spida" Everitt at St Kilda, wearing a white headband to keep his dreadlocks in check.
St Kilda's Carl Ditterich did the same during his 18-year playing career.
Modern-day users include a host of Geelong players, while Marcus Bontempelli and retired AFL great Nat Fyfe were frequently seen wearing the headband.
