Western Bulldogs forward Jamarra Ugle-Hagan has reportedly informed people close to him that he wants to play for Sydney in 2026.
Ugle-Hagan's future has been speculated on this year as he spends time away from the Dogs to work on his personal wellbeing.
The former Pick 1 selection hasn't played this year and is currently on leave away from the Kennel, with Ugle-Hagan unlikely to play in the red, white and blue in 2025.
That could also extend to next year and beyond, with Ugle-Hagan potentially seeking a fresh start elsewhere, and out of Melbourne.
Ugle-Hagan has hinted at a return to football, whether that be this year or next, with the Warrnambool product signalling his intent to get back on the field on social media this week.
Both Sydney and Brisbane have emerged as potential landing spots for the 23-year-old, who is under contract until the end of next year.
Speaking on Footy Classified on Tuesday, reporter Tom Morris revealed Ugle-Hagan is said to be seeking a move to Sydney if the Dogs are open to negotiating a trade for his services.

The Dogs have the whip hand over Ugle-Hagan's future given he is under contract, with clubs needing to appease the Footscray-based club in any discussions.
"The Western Bulldogs are weighing up what they do next with him," Morris said.
"My understanding is that Jamarra has told people close to him that he would like to play for the Sydney Swans next year in a perfect world.
"Whether that takes place or whether the Swans are keen, I'm not sure. The DOgs would have to trade him because he's contracted."
If Sydney were to express an interest in Ugle-Hagan, they would likely send a draft selection, or selections, to secure the key forward's services. The Swans currently hold selections 5, 23, 41 and 59 for this year's draft, and can trade their 2026 and 2027 selections.
Ugle-Hagan's value has likely decreased over the past six months, meaning the Dogs could lose their Next Generation Academy talent for less than a first-round pick.
Coach Luke Beveridge spoke on the speculation surrounding his forward's future, giving little weigh to the outside noise.
"Just take any speculation in regards to any player with a grain of salt, that's the way we approach it," Beveridge said.

"He's our player. We'll do our best to continue to look at what's right for him and look after him.
"I've got no thoughts that he won't be here next year."
The athletic forward led the club's goalkicking in 2024, booting 43 goals in 22 games, to bring his career tally to 103 majors from 67 appearances for the Dogs.
