Brisbane defender Tom Doedee could make his long-awaited debut in Round 22 against Sydney after nearly two years on the list.
Following the concussion to premiership defender Ryan Lester, Doedee is the likely replacement for Saturday's clash at the Gabba.
The former Crow joined the Lions ahead of the 2024 season, off the back of an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) he sustained at the Crows in Round 12.
Doedee signed a four-year deal with Brisbane, and in the lead-up to his likely debut in March, he suffered another ACL injury, which was a partial tear in the same knee.
The 28-year-old eventually returned to football in April this year in the VFL and has been building throughout the year.
"He's been playing really well," Andrews said of Doedee.
"I watched a little bit of the game from the VFL on the weekend, and he looked to be in good form, so potentially (there's) an opportunity (for him).
"He's been so unfortunate with some of the setbacks that he's had to deal with, but I truly admire the resilience, the grit, the ability to just get on with life.

"He's someone that, regardless of the fact that his body has let him down at times, the way he turns up at the club each and every day with a real energy and a real vibe is great.
"I've really enjoyed his time at the footy club. It'd be great to get him out there on the field with us and playing, but I'm sure that will come at some stage.
"There are a lot of guys in the VFL who have been putting their hand up, giving it their best shot. We play the same way, AFL and VFL, so whoever comes in will be ready to go."
Doedee has played 12 games in the reserves competition, including the past fortnight, with performances against Coburg Lions (14 possessions and eight marks) and Gold Coast (19 touches and seven marks) his standout efforts.
Andrews also confirmed that Lester is recovering well from his head knock.
"Froggy is going alright," the Lions co-captain said.

"He copped a little bit of a knock. He's in the (concussion) protocols. Sad to see him go down, but having a chat to him over the last day or two, he's in good spirits."
It is another blow to the Brisbane defensive output, after losing Jack Payne in Round 14 to a ruptured patella tendon for the rest of the year.
Dashing defender Keidean Coleman has been sighted once since the 2024 Opening Round clash against Carlton, where he tore his ACL.
Coleman has suffered multiple setbacks in his recovery, with the latest quad injury seeing him join Payne on the sidelines.
The Lions are third on the AFL ladder following a resounding victory over Collingwood at the MCG in Round 21.
A top-two spot beckons, with match-ups against the Swans, Fremantle (away) and Hawthorn.
