The past has seen the Sydney Swans lure big fish to the heart of New South Wales, with the club having a history of attracting some of the best forwards the competition has seen over the past three decades.

The club would be keen to continue that trend, eyeing off top-line talent that can take them a step further as they boast a star-studded engine room.

Depth at either end of the field for Dean Cox's squad will be in mind when contemplating what the Swans could acquire, with the AFL's trade landscape having several names that might suit Sydney's needs.

Here we've looked at five players the Swans could target to bolster their list for 2026 and beyond.

The absent Dogs star has been closely linked with the Swans as his future at the Kennel remains up in the air.

With Ugle-Hagan reportedly looking to move away from the Melbourne footy 'bubble', and the Swans likely in the market for a key forward, the two parties could combine amicably.

Ugle-Hagan looks in need of a fresh start, and he may not cost a rival bidder as much as he might've in the past, despite being the Dogs' leading goalkicker last year and a former Pick 1 selection.

If the Swans are confident they can get Ugle-Hagan thriving and enjoying footy in New South Wales, then a move is one worth pursuing.
