It is a time of reckoning at Alberton, with the club set to embark upon a new era under Josh Carr.
Port Adelaide has long been recognised for their incredible consistency and impressive list build, but as it stands, they have two options: invest in youth or go hard at remaining contender status.
This year hasn't fallen the way outgoing coach Ken Hinkley would've preferred, but through injury and form, he was able to expose multiple players to the rigours of AFL.
But with no first-round selection (sold to Gold Coast for Jack Lukosius), and the first pick coming at 26, how can the Power improve their list?
Below are some targets that would both enhance their chances of returning to September, but also safeguard their future with local talent that could be lured home.
Here are five trade and free agency targets for Port Adelaide to consider this year.
4Harry Lemmey
Lemmey is one to watch, given he can't force his way into the Carlton forward line that currently possesses Harry McKay and Charlie Curnow.
The South Australian has yet to debut despite being drafted with Pick 47 in the 2022 intake, and has shown positive signs throughout his journey to date.
Lemmey has featured across all three lines, but has more recently cemented his spot in the front half at VFL level.
In 2025, the 21-year-old has 30 goals, including a haul of seven against Sydney earlier in the year.
Hailing from West Adelaide, a pull from the Power could lure the athletic product back home, and also fill a need for incoming coach Josh Carr.
Lemmey can play forward and ruck, and performs in a similar mould to Ollie Lord.
Coming out of contract, the 200cm youngster is a prospect rival clubs will be looking at as the Blues look poised for an overhaul.
