Carlton has been front-page news regarding the future of Tom De Koning, as he weighs up a monster $12 million deal from St Kilda.
The Blues are hopeful the star ruckman remains at IKON Park, but have opened the possibilities of a future without De Koning.
But as the club sits precariously outside the top eight with a list deemed premiership ready, could there be major moves on the agenda come the 2025 trade and draft periods?
Carlton is currently without a first-round pick after swapping selections to snare Jagga Smith last year, with their first pick coming at 35.
Here are five trade and free agency targets for Carlton to consider this year...
2Jake Lloyd

There is no doubt that Carlton's ball movement from the half-back has been an issue, and Sydney's Jake Lloyd would fix that immediately.
Lloyd was recently axed for the first time in over a decade by Dean Cox, and comes out of contract at season's end.
The Blues have looked at multiple avenues to transition the ball from defence to offence, but have wimped during Michael Voss' tenure.
Lloyd would be an instant upgrade on the likes of Adam Saad, Sam Docherty and Jordan Boyd.
Nic Newman has been absent due to a patella tendon injury, while Adam Cerra and Sam Walsh have been utilised in the role to give Michael Voss a fresh look.
The 31-year-old Swan has remained loyal to the club that snared him in the Rookie Draft, but a deal that surpasses the NSW side could be enough to bolster the Blues' backline.
