After a promising start to their 2025 campaign, the Adelaide Crows have found themselves in pretty good stead, while simultaneously keen to take the next step to propel them into a powerhouse of the league.

They have a neat young core that includes players like Dan Curtin, Josh Rachele and Riley Thilthorpe, and while they continue to grow, some structural gaps and position bolstering would be handy to take care of.

With several South Australians coming out of contract or wanting a move home, it could be the perfect time for the Crows to look to the trade table and add some depth and polish to their already strong roster.

Here are five players Adelaide could look to target this off-season.

4Harry Boyd

At 27 years old, Boyd was a mature age recruit for the Saints in the 2024 pre-season Supplemental Selection Period and was targeted due to his form in the SANFL playing for Norwood.

In 2024, Boyd had an exceptional season with Norwood, averaging 42 hitouts, 20 disposals and 10 clearances per game, showcasing his ability to influence both ruck contests and general play.

While not originally from South Australia, his form in the SANFL paired with both his lack of opportunity at St Kilda and the Crows' want for a change in ruckmen make him a compelling trade target for them. Should the Crows not land their big fish in Draper, yet still want a change in pace from Reilly O'Brien, Boyd could be the way to go.
