GWS have revealed duo Josh Kelly and Jack Buckley could miss the rest of the season following setbacks sustained in Friday's win over Sydney.

Both players were unable to finish the eventual 44-point win at ENGIE Stadium, with calf strains hampering the pair.

The Giants are yet to cement a finals finish, with a poor enough run home potentially seeing them sit outside the September frame.

That result could spell the end for both Buckley and Kelly playing again in 2025, while finals perhaps could be their only chance of stepping back onto the field.

The pair would then join Callan Ward (knee), Conor Stone (knee), Cody Angove (back), Wade Derksen (toe) and Jack Ough (shoulder) in missing the rest of the year.

GWS also have Bent Daniels sidelined for the next month with an adductor injury.

In the shorter term, the Giants will also be without captain Toby Greene for next week's clash with the Western Bulldogs after the club accepted his one-game suspension for striking Isaac Heeney.

GWS sit sixth on the AFL ladder and are two wins ahead of the Western Bulldogs, who are in ninth.

The two clubs will meet at Marvel Stadium on Thursday night.
