Brisbane coach has backed "out of form" star Charlie Cameron to bounce back soon as the Lions look to rebound from their first loss of the season.
Cameron, a four-time leading goalkicker with the Queensland club, has booted just four goals in as many games to start his 2025 campaign - three of which came in the Lions' Round 4 win over Richmond.
The All-Australian goalsneak was again held goalless on Thursday night against the Magpies, with Cameron amassing just the three score involvements in Brisbane's 52-point loss.
Quizzed on the 30-year-old's form, Fagan expressed his confidence in Cameron returning to his best in the near future.
"His way (to getting) back into games is putting pressure on," the Lions coach said.
"He's a little bit out of form at the moment. That happens from time to time, that's not abnormal for forwards.
"We'll just work with him and be positive with him this week. We're pretty sure he'll turn it around."
The Lions remain hopeful fellow small forward Callum Ah Chee will be available for the club's Round 7 outing against St Kilda, with the premiership attacker dealing with a knee concern late into the defeat.
Fagan said Ah Chee had been cleared of any injury, with Brisbane taking the chance to manage the "banged up" forward.
"He's a bit banged up, you'd notice all the strapping he had on," Fagan said.
"We just took the opportunity to sort of give him a spell in the last quarter. Hopefully he's fresh for the next game.
"He's not got any injuries."
Brisbane are in line to have livewire Kai Lohmann back from an ankle injury for their Easter Saturday matchup with the Saints, with the club taking a conservative approach with his return date.
The Lions will have a nine-day break between their loss to Collingwood and their clash with the Saints at Marvel Stadium, with Fagan noting the needed spell after a testing opening to 2025.
"We'll get our energy back. We've got a nine-day turnaround, so that won't hurt us," he said.
"We've played in some pretty hot weather, so a bit of a freshen up will be a good thing."
Brisbane now sit 5-1 heading into Round 7, with games to come against the Suns, Roos and Demons after their bout with the Saints.
