Former Hawthorn forward Jackson Callow has been handed a three-game suspension in the SANFL following a high hit on Central District player Oliver Shaw over the weekend.
The Norwood spearhead was referred directly to the SANFL Tribunal by the competition's Match Review Panel for his actions in the opening quarter of Saturday's clash at X Convenience Oval.
Callow's actions left Shaw on the ground for some time, with the Bulldogs also rewarded a 50-metre penalty.
The MRP had not handed down gradings for Callow's hit on Shaw, who was unable to continue in the game and has since entered the league's 21-day concussion protocols.
The SANFL Tribunal graded Callow's actions as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact, which resulted in a base sanction of three matches.
Callow pleaded guilty to rough conduct in the hearing.
A suspension of three matches will see the Redlegs forward miss upcoming games against Woodville-West Torrens, Adelaide and West Adelaide, and return in four weeks to take on North Adelaide.
Callow has again been a key piece in Norwood's team this year, booting 32 goals in 13 games for the season.
He managed just the one goal over the weekend as the Redlegs fell to Central District by 19 points.
Callow returned to Norwood after one-and-a-half seasons on Hawthorn's list, having been recruited as a Mid-Season Draft selection in 2021 before being delisted the year after.
He would play three AFL games in the brown and gold as a ruck-forward hybrid, going up against Max Gawn, Sam Draper and Sean Darcy in his trio of appearances.
