An Essendon young gun has made his first appearance in our Rookie Rankings for 2025 following another strong outing in the red and black in Round 19.

He takes Luke Trainor's spot in our top eight, with the other seven rookies in contention holding their spots from last week.

A Carlton defender had his best game in the navy Blue to earn an honourable mention, joining two Tigers and an Eagles midfielder in doing so.

3Harvey Langford (-)

It felt like the Demons midfielder was kept to a quieter game, but Langford still managed 20 disposals in Saturday's loss to the Blues.

The big-bodied teenager was again positioned on the wing and was kept to the outskirts of the engine room in a battle that was heavily contested.

Langford went at 60 per cent efficiency, with his off-night leading to six clangers.

The Demons have the chance to win four points on Sunday when they face the Saints at Marvel Stadium, with Langford a chance to see more minutes as an inside midfielder.
