Brownlow Medallists Dane Swan and Adam Cooney are the latest former stars set to suit up in the upcoming Legends Game at Marvel Stadium.

The return of the marquee clash after a six-year hiatus will mark the 30th anniversary of the passing of one of the game's greats from prostate cancer - E.J. Whitten - a true legend of Australian football, whom the game was played in honour of for multiple years.

Since Swan's retirement in 2016, he has been no stranger to the football field. The 41-year-old Hall of Famer has been keeping fit by making one-off appearances at the local level, and in June, he signed with EFNL club Oakleigh District for the remainder of the season.

Swan will play for the Vics, alongside Luke Hodge (captain), Gary Ablett Jnr and Brendan Fevola, and will be coached by Tim Watson.

Cooney will oppose his fellow 'Charlie' winner for the All Stars. The Bulldogs star will team up with Nick Riewoldt (captain), Cyril Rioli and media personality Daniel Gorringe. Shane Crawford will coach the All Stars.
