Melbourne forward Harrison Petty and defender Blake Howes are set to miss their side's next game after suffering concussions in Saturday's matchup with Melbourne.
Petty, who was contesting for a ground ball in the second term, collided with Suns midfielder Brayden Fiorini.
Petty was floored from the contest and required some assistance from Demons medical staff on the field before making his way to the interchange to undergo further assessment.
Melbourne later confirmed Petty would not return to the game, having suffered his second concussion of the season.
That call came after Howes was subbed out of the contest with a concussion concern of his own in the same quarter.
The Demons ruled Howes out from returning after his head knock, with wingman Harry Sharp brought into the game.
With both players entering concussion protocols, they will miss Melbourne's next game against Adelaide.
The Demons could have forward Charlie Spargo back for that game as he recovers from a scapula injury.
