GWS veteran Stephen Coniglio and key forward Aaron Cadman are set to miss the club's match against Sydney with concussion.
Coniglio suffered a boot to the head when attempting a smother in the second quarter, while Cadman, meanwhile, suffered a blow when wrestling with Noah Balta in a marking contest.
He earned a free kick which he took, before being taken off the field minutes later and failing the concussion test.
It's a frustrating setback for Cadman, who looked confident in his first game of the season on Sunday, kicking four goals.
The double blow comes just as the club was starting to look closer to full strength after a big pre-season of injuries took its toll early in the season.
The Swans game on Friday night off a five-day break will be an intriguing test for GWS, which started the year by beating Hawthorn, but Saturday's win over Richmond was its only other victory of the season, with losses to Collingwood, St Kilda and Western Bulldogs in between.
GWS proved far too good for Richmond, running out 56-point victors to leave the Tigers as the only winless team remaining in the competition.
Finn Callaghan was the star with 37 disposals, while second gamer Ollie Hannaford showed glimpses which proved why the club used a first round pick on him.
The ruck battle between Nick Madden and Ollie Hayes-Brown was an interesting one for both parties.
Madden came into the line-up for Keiran Briggs and had 43 hitouts to Hayes'Brown's 15, but the Richmond debutant had some moments, particularly late in the second quarter and had 10 disposals.
After being a strong presence in a dour contest against Port Adelaide, young forward Liam Fawcett was again impressive, kicking three goals, while Mykelti Lefau bounced back from a quiet game last week to kick four.
GWS kicked eight goals to two in the first term and was never particularly troubled thereafter.
