Young forward Jack Buller has been officially traded from the Sydney Swans at his request, joining the Collingwood Magpies for the 2026 season.

The deal sees Buller moved to Collingwood along with a 2026 fourth-round pick (tied to Sydney) for the Pies' 2026 third-round selection.

Buller informed Collingwood ahead of the trade period that he wishes to join the club after two-and-a-half years and 10 games at the Swans, with the Magpies looking to replace the talents of Brody Mihocek inside 50, who departed to Melbourne last week.

"Jack is a tall forward who has strong marking ability and is accurate in front of goals. For a tall player, Jack's high pressure and competitive playing style were attractive attributes for us," Pies GM of List and Talent Strategy Justin Leppitsch

"At 24, Jack has a lot of football ahead of him and we look forward to seeing where he can take his football with the support of those inside our Club."

The Swans bolster their 2026 draft hand with Collingwood's third-round pick.

The Swans had tabled the 22-year-old a strong deal for 2026 following an impressive backend of 2025 before he opted to depart, with the young forward tallying 11 goals in nine games, kicking multiple goals on three occasions.

Before his return to AFL level in Round 16, Buller featured as a prominent half-forward threat for the Swans VFL side, kicking 11 goals in as many matches and averaging 4.5 marks per game.
