Richmond has decided not to match Gold Coast's offer for defender Brandon Ellis, meaning the dual Tigers premiership player will officially be a Sun in 2020.
Ellis played 176 games for the Tigers over his eight seasons at the club, including all 25 in their 2017 premiership triumph, and 23 including the grand final this season.
The Tigers have received a second-round compensation pick for the 26-year-old, which is currently pick 39.
Richmond have elected not to match the offer and Brandon Ellis is now able to join the Gold Coast SUNS immediately. Richmond to receive a Second Round compensation selection, currently selection 39.
