A GWS forward has made a major leap toward the top of our rankings after a stellar performance against his former side.
A Bulldogs midfielder continues his consistent season to date, while a Hawthorn defender has returned to the fold following a dominant outing against Port Adelaide.
Who's making the most impact in their new colours? Welcome to the weekly rankings of the Recruit of the Year contenders for 2025, with Round 19 giving us plenty to consider.
1Bailey Smith (-)
The star Cat hasn't reached his usual heights of late, but as Geelong keep winning, he'll play a pivotal role in September.
Against St Kilda, Smith collected 23 touches, five score involvements, four clearances and four tackles, but a measly 308 metres gained by his lofty standards.
The former Bulldog was effective in his ball use, running at a season-high 87 per cent, utilising his creative hands and craft in traffic to take the football from inside to out.
His form of late has seen him slip in the Brownlow Medal odds, but he still ranks among those chasing an All-Australian blazer and best and fairest.
