The Western Bulldogs have delisted duo Liam Jones and Anthony Scott.

Jones leaves the Kennel for the second time, having first departed for Carlton at the end of the 2014 season after six years in the red, white and blue.

He would return to the Dogs ahead of the 2023 season after stepping away from the AFL, with Jones going on to play 44 more games for the club.

Jones' exit sees his games tally sit at 205 matches, 110 of which have come with the Bulldogs.

Scott was recruited out of the club's VFL program as a pre-season selection in 2021.

He would make his debut later that year and would appear in the club's preliminary final win over Port Adelaide.

Scott played just two AFL games since the end of 2023, with injuries hampering his final years with the Dogs.

Both Scott and Jones were part of Footscray's VFL premiership win over the weekend.

"We've been having open dialogue with Liam and his management during the back half of the season and while he won't be offered a contract at the Club, he'll explore his options in the AFL over the coming weeks," Dogs list manager Sam Power said.

"Liam has been a consistent and courageous player for our Club over more than a decade, leading by example on and off the field.

"We understand his desire to play on at another club and wish him nothing but the best for the future.

"Anthony has been with us for five seasons and showed great resilience to make it into the AFL at 26 years old.

"A very popular team member, his ability to play any role and put the team first has been a highlight of his time in the red, white and blue.

"We wish Liam and Anthony, as well as their families, all the best moving forward. They're always welcome back at Mission Whitten Oval."

The duo of delistings add to the exit of veteran defender Taylor Duryea, who has called time on his career.
