Malcolm Rosas Jr reportedly has a desire to join Sydney in the upcoming trade period.
The Gold Coast forward fell out of favour under Damien Hardwick, with the likes of Academy prospects Leo Lombard, Jake Rogers, as well as Jy Farrar, Ben Long, Bailey Humphrey and Connor Budarick holding positions in the senior side.
He has played 11 games in the past two seasons.
Rosas Jr informed the Suns that he would be seeking a move two weeks ago, with Richmond and the Swans the two leading landing spots.

Out of contract, Rosas has performed strongly in the VFL throughout 2025, resulting in both the Swans and Tigers staking their claims as a perfect fit.
He has added a midfield skill set during his time in the reserves, but will also provide plenty of forward pressure and speed in the front half.
Sydney's interest comes as Tom Papley needs more assistance inside the forward 50.
Tom Hanily and Jesse Dattoli played a handful of games this season, but failed to lock in a spot.
Sam Wicks' move to the backline only furthered the Swans' need to bolster their pressure forward stocks, while the use of midfielders up forward, such as Isaac Heeney and Chad Warner, was a case of robbing Peter to pay Paul.
The AFL landscape has quickly turned its focus to clubs hosting a group of elite small forward talent, which was formerly in the mould of Richmond under Hardwick during their dynasty years.
The last three premiers (Brisbane, Collingwood, and Geelong) have all had a litany of forwards who apply pressure while also adding speed and skill on the ball.
The Swans, after coming so close in 2022 and 2024, are clearly looking to join in on the trend, and adding Rosas is a surefire way of doing that.
