Untried Demon forward Oliver Sestan has found a new home following Melbourne's decision to axe the 21-year-old in September, joining Port Melbourne for the 2026 season.
A Xavier College product, Sestan was selected 28th overall in the 2022 rookie draft and never managed to crack into the senior side. However, he impressed at state level with Casey, registering 20-plus disposals in a quarter of his games, while kicking 28 goals in 42 career matches.
He's the latest former AFL-listed player to join the Borough, recruited alongside former Hawthorn midfielders Jack O'Sullivan and Connor Downie.
Port Melbourne was thrilled to add Sestan's talents to their roster.
"After spending a few years in the AFL system, Port Melbourne Football Club are grateful to have Ollie as part of the team after displaying consistently strong form at VFL level," the club statement read.
"He has an elite kick and can set up offensive chains through his kicking off half-back. He is well built, strong and possesses a very good overhead mark."
Port Melbourne will also boast Dyson Heppell again for the 2026 season following his AFL retirement in 2024. Heppell's debut campaign with the club in 2025 was stellar, averaging over 25 disposals per game.
