Delisted Western Bulldogs player Anthony Scott felt the highest of highs and the lowest of lows in the space of a week.
Shortly after claiming the VFL premiership for Footscray, Scott was informed that his services were no longer required in the AFL team.
The 30-year-old began his career at the Whitten Oval through the 2021 SSP, and played 59 games in five seasons, including that season's preliminary final, but was dropped for the decider for Cody Weightman.
Speaking once the dust had settled on AFL Trade Radio, Scott reflected on the ensuing days.
"It was a bit of a weird week, winning a VFL flag and then getting told a couple of days later that the club doesn't want you anymore," he said.
"It was a strange feeling walking out of that meeting.

"But now that I've absorbed it a little bit, I've definitely still got the drive to keep playing AFL footy. I believe I'm good enough.
"It's an interesting one as I'd have to go back to sitting at a desk and it's very different to running around on an oval Monday to Friday," Scott added.
"I don't know just yet. I loved my time at Telstra and learnt heaps there, it's a good organisation to work for.
"But I don't think I've got the desire to be sitting down just yet, I still want to be running around kicking and chasing a footy.
"I would go anywhere. I've still got the passion and desire, so I would absolutely go anywhere."
West Coast was recently granted four additional rookie list spots as part of their AFL assistance package, and could be a potential destination given their need for experience.
The 2025 free agency period will begin on Friday, October 3, while the trade period opens on Monday, October 6.
