Richmond star Brett Deledio has been cleared of major damage after injuring his calf during the Tigers' win over Essendon on Saturday afternoon.

Deledio did not return to the field after the half time break, after experiencing tightness in his calf.

The club confirmed on MOnday afternoon that he has  a calf strain and will be monitored by medical staff during the week before being given the all clear for selection for Sunday's clash with Hawthorn at the MCG.

Deledio has played 11 games this season, after missing the first five rounds due to a quad injury.
