Melbourne and Collingwood are looking intently at Brisbane premiership player Logan Morris to bolster their key forward stocks.
Morris comes out of contract at season's end, following his initial two-year deal after he was taken with Pick 31 from the Western Jets in the 2023 National Draft.
Emerging as one of the competition's brightest forwards, the 19-year-old could be lured to return to Victoria, with the Demons and Pies making it clear of their intent to recruit a player of his calibre.
"I want to underline this, because still, Logan Morris isn't signed," AFL Media's Cal Twomey said on Gettable.
"He is one of the most sought-after players in the competition right now. Victorian clubs are coming hard for this premiership player. I suspect the most likely outcome is that he stays at the Lions on a shorter-term deal.
"But he's being offered longer-term deals worth millions... to move back to Victoria. There's Melbourne and Collingwood who are interested.
"Hawthorn and Geelong are also in the market for these types of players."
Morris' debut story is one like no other, playing two games in one day, eating a pre-match McDonald's meal, wearing undersized football boots and featuring in the QClash.
The 19-year-old featured in the VFL this time last year against Gold Coast, recorded 13 disposals and one goal.
Following multiple late outs, Chris Fagan asked Morris to play as the sub in the senior side, notching his first AFL game. He was injected into the match earlier than expected, with Darcy Gardiner, Lincoln McCarthy and Noah Answerth all injured.
He kicked 1.3, and since that fateful day, has rarely missed a senior opportunity, including the 2024 premiership against Sydney.
Morris' start to 2025 has intrigued rival clubs, slotting 13 goals from seven matches.
