Carlton superstar Charlie Curnow has spoken on his playing future with the Blues after a trade report linked the two-time Coleman Medal winner to the exit door at Princes Park.
Curnow is said to be keen on a move to the Gold Coast for a lifestyle change, while Sydney and Geelong have also been named as clubs Curnow could potentially be keen to join.
Carlton are expected to hold their spearhead to his contract; however, with Curnow having four more years to run on the deal he signed in 2022.
If Curnow were to request a trade, the Blues would need to be willing to part with the 28-year-old, and then be satisfied in a deal with another club.
Quizzed on the reported rumour of his desire to depart by reporters following his side's loss to Hawthorn on Thursday night, Curnow was categorical in his response, stating "nothing has happened" in his discussions with the club about wanting to move.
"I obviously want to be here," Curnow said, via AFL.com.au.
"I don't really want to make this about me right now, but I'm playing at Carlton next year. There you go. Done."
Carlton coach Michael Voss was asked about what conversations he has had with his star forward since reports surrounding Curnow's future have surfaced, with the Blues coach stating he hasn't had to address anything with Curnow.
The Blues coach said he'll look to "move on" from the saga, and expects Curnow to do so as well.
"We move on," Voss said.
"That's what I'll do. I'll move on, and I'm sure he will as well."
The loss to Hawthorn was Curnow's 149th appearance for the Blues since being drafted in 2015, with a game against Fremantle next Sunday set to be his 150th.
Carlton have four games left in their 2025 campaign, coming up against Gold Coast, Port Adelaide, and Essendon following their Round 21 clash with the Dockers.
