Sturt's dominant 17-1 home and away season has been reflected with seven Double Blues earning selection in The Advertiser SANFL Team of the Year.

Released following the conclusion of the SANFL home and away season, the minor premiers enjoyed heavy representation after an outstanding 2025 campaign.

Magarey Medal favourite Tom Lewis was rewarded for a stellar year with selection as vice-captain in the centre, while former Bomber Will Snelling also earned a spot at half-forward despite missing five games with injury.

Emerging star Angus Anderson capped a meteoric rise by clinching a place on the interchange, while Casey Voss and Will Coomblas were again selected in defence.

Josh Hone locked away his spot as the game's pre-eminent small forward with 44 goals for the season, while fellow small forward Sam Conforti earned his maiden selection after kicking 33 goals.

Meanwhile, Sturt mastermind Martin Mattner was the obvious choice as the team's coach after guiding the Double Blues to the minor premiership.

Glenelg were also well represented with five selections, headlined by Liam McBean as the team's captain at centre-half-forward.

Runaway Ken Farmer Medallist Lachie Hosie was an undeniable pick at full-forward, while former AFL star Jarryd Lyons was the clear standout as the first rover.

Unheralded defender Jonty Scharenberg was rewarded with his first selection at half-back, while Matthew Allen earned his fourth selection after another consistent season in the midfield and forward line.

Adelaide's SANFL team had three players named following their best-ever home and away result, with skipper Jack Madgen collecting his first nomination at full-back.

Tall forward Chris Burgess also clinched his maiden selection after kicking 52 goals in 16 games, while first-year Crow Lachie McAndrew was rewarded following a dominant season in the ruck.

Norwood defender Pierce Seymour was recognised for a terrific season down back for the Redlegs with his first selection, while Billy Cootee also earned a spot on the wing following a strong campaign.

Eagles midfielders James Rowe and Kobe Mutch were rewarded for excellent individual seasons in a tough year for their club, while Bulldog Rhett Montgomerie slots comfortably into the back pocket for the second consecutive year.

Jack Watkins capped an outstanding first season in the SANFL at Port Adelaide with selection as the second rover, while South's Oliver Davis was recognised for a breakout campaign with a spot on the interchange.

West Adelaide and North Adelaide were the only clubs without a representative in the team.
