Round 23 saw some disappointing performances from top recruits, as a Crows midfielder returned.

As the season nears its end, our ranking is starting to solidify, especially within the top four, but there is still movement outside of that.

Who's making the most impact in their new colours? Welcome to the weekly rankings of the Recruit of the Year contenders for 2025, with Round 23 giving us plenty to consider.

7Josh Battle (+1)

Battle slides up in our rankings due to his consistent performances across the season, which were showcased once again on the weekend against Melbourne.

The Hawks defender secured 17 touches at a 76% efficiency rate, along with six interceptions, in the Hawks' win to secure a finals spot.

Battle does more than just the usual counting stats, as he is important to the Hawks' team's defence and transition ball movement.
