Both Adelaide and Sturt claimed monster victories in impressive fashion, two AFL Draft hopefuls put in stellar debut matches, while several AFL-listed players put forward their case to cover Port's injury crisis.

West Adelaide 8.6.(54) def by Glenelg 15.14.(104)

Glenelg surged clear of a plucky West Adelaide outfit to claim a clinical 50-point victory in a boost to their top-three hopes.

West applied plenty of pressure throughout the day and didn't make things easy for the reigning premier, keeping them goalless in the opening 17 minutes with terrific defensive intent.

However, the gulf in class soon became apparent as the Bays kicked eight of the next 10 goals and never looked back as they cruised to victory.

The Bloods were unable to shut down Glenelg's short-kicking game, with the Tigers registering 249 kicks and 141 marks across the day.

The Bays' extra polish was particularly noticeable in the midfield, with Luke Partington (31 disposals and four inside 50s) a key component in Glenelg's transition play.

Jarryd Lyons (29 disposals and seven clearances) was productive at the stoppages and won some important possessions, while Matthew Allen (23 disposals and four clearances) worked hard around the ground.

James Bell (18 disposals and a goal) had some good moments, while Cole Gerloff (27 disposals) was influential on the wing throughout the game.

Lachie Hosie (15 disposals, 11 marks and six goals) did the bulk of the damage up front and was a constant threat, while captain Liam McBean was impactful early with four goals in the first half.

Veteran Luke Reynolds pitched in with two goals and played a key role pushing high up the ground, while Will Chandler was a valuable contributor with 17 touches and a goal.

Nick Stevens (27 possessions and nine rebound 50s) offered plenty of drive from defence, while Jonty Scharenberg (23 disposals and nine marks) was also a key playmaker from half-back.

Emerging defender Cooper Beecken played a superb shutdown role on Tom Scully and kept the big man to just one goal, while Beau Symonds played a similarly effective role on Ned Stevens.

Unheralded utility Alex Martini was stationed in defence and closed down nicely on Harvey Griffiths, while Max Proud (23 disposals) was lethal as the spare man in defence.

Although it goes down as another loss for West, they can be pleased with their effort and intensity around the ball, with Kobe Ryan (21 touches, 11 tackles and nine clearances) and Brady Searle (23 disposals, eight clearances and a goal) leading the way.

Lachie Squire (18 disposals and six clearances) fought hard in the clinches and played a somewhat effective tagging role on James Bell, while Jesse Thackeray (15 touches and a goal) showed some solid glimpses at the contest.

Young ruckman Caleb May (37 hitouts) commanded the ruck duel and won some quality taps, while Cade Kennedy was a polished performer in attack and finished with two goals.

While outpointed by star Lachie Hosie, Will Paton (15 disposals and 10 marks) won some key battles in defence, as did Cooper Patterson, who fought well to keep McBean goalless after half time.

Tom Morrish (16 disposals) had some important moments to help West exit defence, while Callum Park (15 touches and five rebound 50s) was typically composed but finished the game with a hand injury.

Sturt 25.13.(163) def North Adelaide 7.6.(48)

Sturt continued their relentless march towards the minor premiership with a 115-point belting of North Adelaide at Unley Oval on Saturday.

Extending their unbeaten start to 12 matches, the Blues produced another ominous warning for the rest of the competition in sweeping aside the Roosters with alarming ease.

In a clear sign of their hunger and ruthless efficiency, the hosts racked up almost 100 disposals and 22 more tackles as they dominated every facet of the game.

With Magarey Medallist Will Snelling going down early in the first term, fellow star midfielder Tom Lewis stepped up superbly to gather 33 disposals, 11 clearances, nine tackles and 10 inside 50s in a powerful display of footy.

Angus Anderson (26 touches and five clearances) was similarly productive when exiting stoppages, while Jared Dakin (23 disposals and six clearances) was productive in the clinches.

Amos Doyle (13 disposals, 32 hitouts, six clearances and two goals) had a massive influence both in the ruck and when pushing forward ahead of the ball as well.

Ex-Docker Tom Emmett (16 disposals and five goals) played a starring role in attack and contributed both in the air and at ground level, while Oliver Grivell also finished with three goals to go with some quality pack marks.

Sam Conforti was stationed mostly in the forward line and kicked three classy goals, while young forward Luca Slade got involved with three goals and Connor McFadyen booted two.

Casey Voss (25 disposals and 12 marks) was seemingly everywhere across half back and continually repelled his side from defence, while Flynn Perez (26 touches and nine marks) was prominent with his attacking ball use and clean foot skills.

Will Coomblas (18 disposals and 10 marks) played a terrific game on Mitch Harvey and made countless stops, while Zac Becker largely negated Noah Casalini and neutralised some important contests.

Henry Carey (18 disposals) made a welcome return to the side and was composed down back, while Alex Holt (19 touches) again impressed with his defensive intent and clever ball use.

Unsurprisingly given the result, many of North's better players on the day were in defence, with Harrison Magor (25 disposals, seven marks and eight rebound 50s) playing a tireless role under immense pressure in the backline.

Cody Raak (19 disposals and seven rebound 50s) battled valiantly on Grivell and did well to limit his influence given the weight of inside 50s, while Jarman Sigal competed relatively well against the big-bodied McFadyen.

Dyson Hilder was valuable in defence and played a strong game on Daniel Fahey-Sparks, while at the other end, Frank Szekely kicked three of North's seven goals.

Hughen Wissman (20 disposals and eight clearances) and Angus Schumacher (21 disposals) toiled hard at the contest, while the performance of debutant and AFL Draft prospect Sam Cumming (16 disposals) was a rare silver lining for North.

South Adelaide 9.11.(65) def by Central District 14.9.(63)

Central District overcame a fast-starting South Adelaide outfit to claim an important 28-point victory at Noarlunga on Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers came out full of running and led by 16 points at the first break following a six-goal opening term, with their speed and ability to create space in the front half causing issues for the visitors early.

Central responded with eight unanswered goals in the second stanza to take the lead at half-time, before closing out the game in clinical fashion to ensure there would be no further momentum shifts.

Still missing Magarey Medallist Harry Grant, the Bulldogs had Leyton Chisolm (24 disposals and seven clearances) and Kai Pudney (22 touches and seven clearances) play key roles as the main ball-winners in the midfield.

Wilson Barry (20 touches and a goal) worked hard on the wing and had some important possessions, while Beau Thomas (15 disposals, 21 hit-outs and four clearances) again stood tall as the makeshift ruckman with a terrific performance.

Rhett Montgomerie (19 disposals and 11 marks) was influential across half-back with his reading of the play and intercept work, while George Kendall (16 touches and eight marks) competed strongly in the key defensive post.

Luca Whitelum (18 disposals) played mostly behind the ball and distributed the footy well from defence, while Jack Callinan (19 disposals) showed composure beyond his years across half-back.

The Dogs benefited from an even spread of contributors in the forward line, with five players kicking multiple goals across the afternoon.

Aiden Grace was a major threat up front and finished with two goals from five marks, while Jack Tomkinson, Anzac Lochowiak and Finn Reed also bagged two majors each.

Despite chalking up another loss, there were several positives for South to take away from this match, including winning the clearances by seven and almost breaking even in inside 50s.

Gun midfielder Ollie Davis led the way with a commanding midfield performance, gathering 34 disposals and nine clearances as he continually won first possession at the contest for his side.

Callum McCarty (19 disposals and six clearances) made a welcome return to the midfield and offered plenty of strength in the scrimmages, while Angus Bradley (24 disposals) spent more time on the ball and had some eye-catching moments.

Ruckman Olivier Northam (19 disposals, 20 hitouts, 11 clearances and a goal) put in an outstanding game and had a huge impact with his work around the ground, both in the air and at ground level.

Elliot Dunkin (32 disposals and eight rebound 50s) was typically damaging with his rebound from defence and repeatedly launched South Adelaide attacks with his attacking run and sharp ball use.

Former Saint Oscar Clavarino (20 disposals and 11 marks) was resolute in defence and halted countless Bulldogs attacks with his intercept marking, while Nich Weightman had some important moments locking down on Central's small defenders.

Sam Skinner (18 disposals, eight marks and two goals) continued his successful move into the forward line and offered a valuable target up front, while Luke Bogle (18 touches and a goal) was also busy in the forward line.

Woodville-West Torrens 7.7.(49) def by Adelaide Crows 22.17.(142)

Adelaide flexed their muscles and put Woodville-West Torrens to the sword with a crushing 100-point victory at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.

The result keeps Adelaide entrenched in the top three, while also sending the Eagles into freefall after consecutive triple-figure beltings in the past two weeks.

Played as a curtain-raiser to the Adelaide v Melbourne AFL match later in the day, the Crows signalled their intent on the ground where all SANFL finals are played.

As is to be expected in such a dominant win, Adelaide enjoyed an even spread of contributors across the day, with their depth in the midfield particularly noteworthy.

Chayce Jones (28 disposals and eight clearances) continued his rebirth as a full-time midfielder and won plenty of the footy, while Harry Schoenberg was influential with his 23 disposals and eight clearances.

Luke Pedlar made a successful return from injury playing primarily through the midfield and finished with 24 touches and a goal, while SANFL-listed mid Jay Boyle impressed with 19 disposals, five clearances and two goals.

Ruckman Lachie McAndrew (33 hitouts and three clearances) commanded the ruck battle and continually provided quality looks for his on-ballers.

Billy Dowling (25 disposals and two goals) played arguably his best game on the wing this season, while Lachie Sholl (18 touches and a goal) showed his class with ball in hand.

Adelaide's firepower and depth of options in attack were on full display, with Brayden Cook continuing his re-emergence as a forward with four goals from 15 disposals in a clinical performance inside 50.

Luke Nankervis (16 disposals and three goals) also proved hard to stop around the goals, while SANFL-listed rookie Ned Atkinson caught the eye with three majors of his own.

Kieran Strachan (17 disposals, 13 hitouts and two goals) played a valuable game as a marking target up front while also offering crucial ruck relief for McAndrew in the second half.

Chris Burgess (16 disposals, nine marks and two goals) battled through a tough matchup with Jordan Moore to impact in the aerial contests, while Blake Drury (17 touches and a goal) was a dangerous customer inside 50.

Star defender Nick Murray (20 disposals, seven marks and five rebound 50s) again pushed his case for an AFL recall with a sublime performance down back, while James Borlase (19 disposals) offered great strength in the aerial battles.

Hugh Bond (16 disposals and five marks) worked hard in defence and also got involved in the Crows' offence, while skipper Jack Madgen (18 disposals) was typically poised and composed.

Unfortunately for the injury-ravaged Eagles, it was a case of too few having to do too much as they relied heavily on the same handful of contributors across the afternoon.

Kobe Mutch (27 disposals and seven clearances) battled tirelessly in an undermanned midfield, while James Rowe (21 touches) worked hard to find the footy around the ground.

Skipper Joe Sinor (26 disposals and eight rebound 50s) never stopped trying in a defence under extreme pressure, while Cameron Fleeton (14 touches and six marks) competed strongly despite often being undersized.

Jordan Moore held up well at full-back opposed to big man Chris Burgess, while AFL Draft hopeful Jack Cook was a major shining light in his league debut with 24 disposals and 11 rebound 50s as he looked more than comfortable at league level.

Max Beattie (14 disposals and two goals) continued his new midfield role and added some spark, while Deakan Jackson (two goals) was the only other multiple goal scorer.

Port Adelaide 12.4.(76) def by Norwood 15.3.(93)

Norwood eventually shrugged off a stubborn Port Adelaide side to record an important 17-point victory at Alberton that keeps their slim finals hopes alive for another week.

A closely-fought contest all day, neither side was able to gain any major ascendancy until the Redlegs broke clear with five final-quarter goals that made sure of the win.

Despite convincingly losing the hitouts 48-17, Norwood's midfield had the edge in clearances 42-35, with their extra strength and ability to win the contested ball evident the longer the game went.

After copping several heavy tags in recent weeks, star midfielder Nik Rokahr (28 disposals and five clearances) was able to break the shackles and find plenty of the footy, while Baynen Lowe (25 touches, five clearances and a goal) also had a big impact through the middle.

Billy Cootee (20 disposals and nine clearances) continued his good run of form with another dynamic performance, while Jacob Kennerley (21 possessions and two goals) was instrumental in the all-important last quarter.

Although well beaten in the hitouts, Luke Surman (16 disposals and six clearances) worked hard around the ground and was influential in open play.

Cooper Murley (21 disposals, 10 marks and five rebound 50s) was a key playmaker across half-back and was regularly involved in Norwood's ball movement, while Alastair Lord (15 disposals) played a valuable shutdown role on Benny Barrett.

Pierce Seymour (16 touches and eight marks) was seemingly everywhere in the first quarter and halted several Magpie attacks, while Tom Donnelly was superb in negating the much taller Jack Whitlock.

With star forward Jackson Callow (one goal) often playing outnumbered, fellow forwards Tristan Binder (three goals) and Finn Heard (two goals) found more space and stood up to play key roles in hitting the scoreboard.

With injuries striking at Port Adelaide, several AFL-listed Magpies put their name forward for AFL consideration with impressive performances.

Coming up against an undersized Norwood backline, Port's tall forwards stole the show, with Jeremy Finlayson and Ollie Lord both kicking five goals as they featured heavily with their contested marking and nous around goal.

Mid-season draftee Mani Liddy (19 disposals and seven clearances) responded well to his AFL axing with a dynamic performance through the middle, while Jackson Mead (20 disposals and 10 tackles) competed strongly at the contest.

Jack Watkins (25 disposals and four clearances) worked hard around the ground, while Christian Moraes (18 touches) racked up plenty of the ball and used it well.

Ivan Soldo (15 disposals, 35 hitouts and six clearances) again dominated the ruck duel and had a big impact with his tap-work and follow-up at ground level.

Rome Burgoyne (19 disposals and five rebound 50s) made a welcome return to the lineup and showed great composure in defence, while Jez McLennan (20 touches and five marks) used the ball nicely across half-back to set up several attacking forays.

Mid-Season Draft recruit Harrison Ramm played an impressive game on star key forward Jackson Callow and kept him to just one goal, while Rory Atkins was deployed effectively as the spare man in defence to double-team Callow.
