Adelaide speedster Charlie Cameron has requested a trade home to Brisbane.

Cameron's manager, Colin Young, confirmed the reports on AFL Trade Radio on Friday afternoon.

"It's really early stages, Charlie met with the club yesterday to advise of his intentions for a trade," Young said.

"The club Charlie Cameron has chosen is Brisbane.

"I'm hoping we're not going to get to the stage where the Crows refuse to trade. He wants to go back to Bris for compassionate reasons.

"It's fairly simple with Charlie. He wants to live and play in Brisbane. His family and friends are there and that's where he wants to live.

"Hopefully we can all work together to get a deal done for Charlie in the next two weeks.:

Cameron played 24 games this season, kicking 29 goals, including a brilliant five goal-haul against Geelong in the preliminary final.
