Veteran recruits were the stars of Round 13 as notable additions at the AFL's two largest clubs push themselves into the Power Rankings.

A strong performance from a former Blue tightens their stranglehold on the second rank, while an underwhelming afternoon in the wet has caused a pivotal Sun to slip.

Who's making the most impact in their new colours? Welcome to the weekly rankings of the Recruit of the Year contenders for 2025, with Round 12 giving us plenty to consider.

4. John Noble (-1)

John Noble has taken a slide in this week's edition of the rankings as his influence was well and truly nullified at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Sure, the conditions certainly did not provide Noble any favours, but the Suns needed someone to lift and be clean with the football, and unfortunately, Noble was unable to do so, recording just 12 disposals for the match.

Geelong dominated the forward half battle, 39 of their 61 points originating from that area of the ground. It's a familiar issue for the Suns, who conceded 66 points to the Dockers from plays beginning in that area of the ground to Fremantle's 75. Noble's ball use is still exceptional when he has it, but the last couple weeks have highlighted his need - and the Suns' need - to find their offensive gusto that was so strong to start the season.
