Collingwood free agent Jamie Elliott has knocked back the advances of multiple clubs in recommitting to the Magpies on a multi-year deal.
Elliott had been on the radar of both Gold Coast and Carlton as he assessed his options for 2026 and beyond, with the 33-year-old eligible for free agency this off-season.
Falling under the unrestricted band, Elliott could have chosen to leave Collingwood with no resistance, as the Magpies would be unable to match a rival's bid and force a trade deal.
While the Suns in particular were seen as a potential landing spot for the sharpshooting forward, Elliott has opted to remain in the black and white, signing a two-year extension.
The new deal will take the Euroa product through to a 16th season with Collingwood, likely seeing him close in on 250 games for the club.
“Collingwood has been my home for the past 14 years and I can't wait to continue running out in front of the Magpie Army,” Elliott said.
“Celebrating my 200th game earlier this year, surrounded by my family and teammates, will be something I'll never forget. I'm incredibly proud to be a Collingwood person.
“I look forward to seeing what we can achieve as a team over the coming years and creating many more memories.”
General Manager of List and Talent Strategy Justin Leppitsch congratulated Elliott on the new deal.
“Jamie is an integral part of the team and we are pleased to have him commit for another two years,” Leppitsch said.
“Throughout his 14 seasons at the Club, Jamie has been a key pillar of our side, and his experience and football smarts are influential in our forward line.
“Nothing highlights Jamie's drive to grow and develop more than his elevation into the leadership group ahead of this season. Even with over 200 games to his name, he is never complacent and is always trying to improve himself and those around him.
“We look forward to seeing Jamie in the black and white for the next two years and can't wait for many more high-flying marks and exciting goals.”

Elliott enjoyed a career-best campaign in 2025, booting 60 goals from his 25 games, surpassing the 40-goal mark for the first time in his time in the top flight.
Elliott's re-signing leaves the likes of Mason Cox, Brody Mihocek and Tom Mitchell, among others, in remaining unsigned for 2026.
