Collingwood pair Bobby Hill and Jordan De Goey will both suit up in the VFL this weekend when the Magpies' reserves take on Frankston on Saturday night.
De Goey's return comes after a long battle with an Achilles injury that has kept him sidelined since Round 8, while the premiership Magpie also suffered multiple setbacks in his rehabilitation, including a recent concussion.
Hill hasn't played since Round 15 due to both illness and personal reasons, with the Norm Smith Medal winner's return date uncertain over the past month.
The duo will combine in the VFL to take on the Dolphins at Kinetic Stadium this weekend as Collingwood, who sit atop the AFL ladder, look to close in on September with a near-full fit squad.
Hill was again a lively threat up front in his 13 games under coach Craig McRae earlier this year, booting at least one goal in 12 of those matches, including majors in his last nine games.
De Goey has been limited this year due to multiple setbacks, having played his first game for 2025 in Round 2 and featuring in five games before being sidelined once more.
Both players could be in the mix for next week's Round 21 clash with Brisbane; however, De Goey might require a larger workload before being cleared to play at senior level.
Hill could be recalled depending on his return through the VFL, with the Magpies' list looking healthy with five games left in the home and away season.
McRae was able to recall Dan Houston for Sunday's clash with Richmond, while Tom Mitchell and Tim Membrey have also been named in the extended squad after being managed last week.
Mid-Season Draft addition Roan Steele is the fourth potential inclusion for Collingwood following his stellar VFL showing last week after being dropped.
Hamstrung small forward Beau McCreery is the only confirmed omission for McRae's Round 20 squad so far.
The Magpies will reduce their squad to 23 players at 5:00pm (AEST) on Friday, with final teams to be confirmed an hour prior to Sunday's 2:10pm bounce.
