AFL Premiership duo Sharrod Wellingham and Sam Butler have joined the coaching ranks of WAFL club Perth Demons.
Wellingham will take over as the league assistant of the Demons, while Butler's role will revolve around the development of its players.
The former returns home after a stint as the assistant coach of the State 18s program for the past two seasons, following an extraordinary top-flight career.
Wellingham began at Collingwood ahead of 2007 after he was signed as a rookie from Perth by the Victorian side. He played 92 games, including the 2010 flag.
The speedster made the switch back to his home state, joining West Coast ahead of the 2013 campaign, adding another 79 matches to his tally before he was delisted a year before the club's premiership against his former club.
Butler was an Eagle through and through after he was drafted with Pick 20 in the 2003 National Draft. He made an immediate impact, featuring in the club's 2006 flag.
Butler played 166 games across 14 seasons, and announced his retirement at the end of 2017.

The confirmed Perth coaching cohort under Mark Stone follows the recruitment of former Sydney Swan Indhi Kirk, who spent two years on an AFL list.
The son-of-a-gun joins former AFL names in Brandan Parfitt, Conrad Williams, Blake Schlensog, Jesse Glass-McCasker and Charlie Constable at Perth, the latter coming off a Sandover Medal-winning year.
