Carlton forward pairing Jack Martin and Zac Fisher will be sidelined for the next six weeks with injuries.

The Blues announced on Tuesday that Fisher is suffering from an ankle injury picked up late into Carlton's loss to Collingwood last Thursday, while Martin sustained a PCL knee injury in the match.

Carlton's high performance director Andrew Russell revealed the pair won't require surgery but will miss the next six weeks of action.

ā€œJack Martin was your classic PCL mechanism of knee-on-knee. Initially, he wasnā€™t too bad coming out of the game but heā€™s had some swelling,ā€ Russell toldĀ Carlton Media.Ā

ā€œThatā€™s going to require him to be on the sidelines for somewhere around six weeks.

ā€œFisherā€™s is the opposite to his syndesmosis ankle last yearā€¦ heā€™s got some bone stress. We think heā€™s at this stage heā€™s going to miss around six weeks of footy and then weā€™ll see him back out there.ā€
