Carlton has moved quickly on delisted West Coast speedster Jack Petruccelle as the club looks to bolster its small forward stocks.
Petruccelle was farewelled by the Eagles last week, and poses as a cheap option for the Blues.
The 26-year-old played 90 games for the Western Australian club after being taken with Pick 38 in the 2017 National Draft.
According to the Herald Sun's Jay Clark, Petruccelle is "on multiple clubs' radars", but believes the Blues are leading the charge.
The interest in the Victorian comes as Carlton has made it a priority to add some speed and dare to its club over the past couple of seasons.
The Blues have added Jesse Motlop, Oliver Hollands, Blake Acres, Orazio Fantasia, Jaxon Binns, Francis Evans, Will White and Flynn Young through various mechanisms.
The club recently delisted Fantasia, while Evans, after a strong final month of the year, could look to extend his time at Ikon Park.
But a vacancy in the small forward department has long been empty since Eddie Betts.
Carlton has also farewelled ruckman Tom De Koning to St Kilda, while Jack Silvagni is also expected to depart, with four rivals chasing his signature.
The Blues are also understood to be interested in Buku Khamis, Ned Reeves, and Liam Reidy, with the latter two presented as potential replacements for De Koning.
It comes as the club has requested troubled midfielder Elijah Hollands to "explore a trade", despite having one more year left on his deal.

Hollands only featured five times at AFL due to personal reasons, as he spent time away from Ikon Park.
Charlie Curnow is also keen to depart the club amid interest from Sydney, Geelong and Gold Coast.
However, a deal appears unlikely given the longevity of his current contract (2029), and the inability of rivals to secure a trade that will satisfy the Blues.
