Carlton fans will see two new faces run out on Thursday night against Port Adelaide, with the club confirming Billy Wilson and Flynn Young will make their AFL debuts.
Wilson joined the Blues with Pick 34 in the 2023 National Draft as a running half-back, and has produced an impressive six-week block in the VFL, averaging 24.2 disposals and 7.3.
The 20-year-old has played 24 matches for Carlton's reserves outfit, and has warranted selection based on his form in 2025.
Wilson will be joined by Young, who was taken in the most recent Mid-Season Draft by the Blues in a bid to bolster their forward stocks.
Young had spent the past four seasons at Werribee in the VFL, playing 26 reserves matches before Carlton snapped him up late last month.
The 23-year-old can play a variety of roles, but has predominantly been forward of the ball in the navy blue, hitting the scoreboard consistently while finding plenty of the football.
Wilson and Young will be Carlton's sixth and seventh debutants, following on from Lucas Camporeale, Will White, Matt Carroll, Harry O'Farrell and Hudson O'Keeffe.
Key defender Jacob Weitering is under an injury cloud after he rolled his ankle in the loss to North Melbourne.
Cooper Lord and Corey Durdin could be in the gun after quiet performances against the Kangaroos, while Michael Voss could opt to use one legitimate ruckman, meaning Marc Pittonet could be on the outer.
Matt Carroll and Jaxon Binns could also face the squeeze come Wednesday night's selection calls.
