Blues senior coach Michael Voss has admitted he's unsure about where out-of-contract stars Jack Silvagni and Tom De Koning plan to play next season, but maintained unwavering confidence that they would eventually recommit to the club this off-season.
Jack Silvagni reportedly met with key figures from the Western Bulldogs during the week as he remains undecided on his intentions in free agency, while Tom De Koning continues to weigh up a mega $12 million offer from St Kilda, reported earlier in the season.
Voss said he understands the hysteria around the situation for Carlton fans as their 2025 campaign comes to a close, and the pair remained uncommitted and disclosed that he, too, remains in the dark.
"[Silvagni] has been busy, but I'm still really confident, I still am," Voss said.
"In all these sorts of situations, same with Tom [De Koning], I've already spoken about it. We're at the end of the season, and they haven't signed yet. I guess if you're sort of lacking any confidence, it's probably around that.
"In terms of the need and want to have them here, we'd love for them to stay, but we're also realistic [about] where we sit in the season and what's playing out.
"I don't know [where they sit]. Until they sign something, that's when we know we're committed. Until that pen comes out and it goes on the line, that's when we know for sure."

Despite the external circus surrounding the pair, as well as pending changes to his supporting coach staff, Voss hopes to keep his playing group focused on finishing the 2025 season strongly, with winnable matches over the next fortnight against Port Adelaide and Essendon.
"I think you can look at it as either change or progress. There's a bit of both in it clearly," Voss said.
"We acknowledge with where we're at, we're not clearly happy with it, but we also need to acknowledge with the work that's been able to be done over the last four years, we have to take this position as a way to progress and look at ways to get better.
"We understand that there's going to be speculation on what those changes are likely to be... but we're at the doorstep of the season finishing.
"We'll make sure we finish off the season really strong, which gives us a chance to take a breath, and we'll make some changes from there."
