Gold Coast leader Touk Miller believes that the disappointing 35-point loss to GWS is just a "bump in the road", stating the Suns' best football is still capable of beating the AFL's elite.

"I would love to be standing here talking about finals, but that's not the case," said Miller, who was remaining upbeat.

"Losses are gifts, [and] we can learn from those.

"I think we have done a really good job of being where our feet are."

The Gold Coast are now focused on redeeming themselves on Friday night against the Power.

"Who doesn't love Friday night football? For us, it's a fantastic opportunity," said Miller.

It's a big match for the Power as well, as it will be Ken Hinkley and Travis Boak's last game for the club, which will make for a special atmosphere.

Miller was also complimentary of Boak, saying: "He has helped my career a lot, pretty thankful and grateful to play in his last game."

In an attempt to spoil the farewell party, Miller said the Suns would focus on making it "more hostile and a better game of footy".

Young gun teammate Alex Davies is set to miss the clash, as he was handed a one-match suspension for his hit on Ryan Angwin.

"We know how important he is for our team, and hopefully we can have him on Friday night," said Miller, hinting the Suns may challenge the ban.
