The Western Bulldogs are the latest club to unveil their indigenous guernsey for Sir Doug Nicholls round.
The jumper was designed by Kylie Clarke, who is a Gunditjmara,ย Wotjobalukย & Ngarrindjeri woman and works as a Program Manager for Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience in Geelong.
โIโve used symbols that incorporateย historicalย journeys and feats, leadership and guidance, as represented on the front and back,โ she said
โThereโsย a strong sense of history andย inspirational figuresย thatย shapeย ourย club and I wanted to create a jumper thatย alsoย reflected that, so when the players wore the Guernsey it was something they could relate to and be empowered by.โ
The Dogs will wear the guernsey in round 10 against St Kilda.
