Brisbane midfielder Jarrod Berry could find himself in hot water with the AFL match review officer after a high hit on North Melbourne's Dylan Stephens.
The Lions player was attempting to impact the marking contest, but his stray fist completely missed the ball and got Stephens in the head.
His mistimed spoil resulted in a free kick.
The incident will be graded as careless conduct and high contact, meaning it would need to be medium impact if he is to serve a suspension.
Low impact would result in a fine.
Stephens was able to return to his feet, take the free kick and continue playing which should work in Berry's favour.
Berry had 10 disposals and seven tackles in a spritely first half against North Melbourne.
While the AFL cracked down on certain incidents ahead of the 2026 season, there was no change in incidents such as Berry's.
Berry will learn his fate on Sunday afternoon.
The Lions are 3-2 to start 2026 and have lacked selection continuity due to injuries so will be hoping he escapes suspension.
Prediction: Fine
