Essendon midfielder Devon Smith has been subbed out of today's game against Fremantle with a hamstring strain.
Smith injured his hamstring in the third term and did not take the field in the fourth quarter.
He was replaced by medical substitute Nik Cox.
Smith collected seven disposals before he was subbed out of the game.
