West Coast defender Brady Hough has suffered an ankle injury which is set to rule him out of action for the next 3-4 weeks, the club has confirmed.
The 22-year-old suffered the injury at training on Thursday, requiring help to come off the track and did not return.
He was sent for scans, which confirmed the severity of the ankle concern on Friday.
The 191cm speedster has missed just one game across the past two seasons, establishing himself as an important part of the backline with his ability to lockdown, and he was exposed to midfield minutes in 2025.
Hough now faces a race to get fit for West Coast's pre-season fixtures, first taking on Fremantle on Februrary 21 in a scratch match before an official pre-season date with Port Adelaide on March 1 at Mineral Resources Park.
The Eagles open their 2026 season against Gold Coast on Sunday, March 15 at People First Stadium.
