Does a Port Adelaide star find his way back to his home state?

And where does Adam Simpson sit in regards to the Carlton coaching job?

All that and more from media buzz.

Eagles on the build as club linked to forward star

Former Port Adelaide assistant coach Chad Cornes is predicting that key forward Mitch Georgiades will head across the border to Western Australia, his home state, in the next couple of years to join West Coast.

The Power are on the slide, and have struggled early under the new direction of Josh Carr.

Ironically, the Eagles defeated the Alberton club, and have showed plenty of improvement in 2026.

"I hope he stays … but I would be very surprised if he doesn't go back to Perth — I'm thinking West Coast — at the end of next year," Cornes said on SEN.

"Then, if you think deeper about it … if and when Butters leaves, is it best for Port to work out a deal for Mitch this year? You lose your two best players … but is it the time to get five or six first-round draft picks before Tassie comes in?

"I'd be very confident that he wouldn't be there in two years' time."

Richmond to wreak havoc on trade and free agency period. But when?

The Tigers have gone draft heavy the past two seasons, welcoming a host of first-round picks that will excite the Punt Road faithful.

But coach Adem Yze understands the shift to luring mature-age talent is a necessity to continue on their development path. But when?

"This season we will have a good draft hand," Yze said on The Agenda Setters.

"We've had two really strong drafts, we've got nine top-25 draft picks or kids within that category.

"We'll look to whether we do that this year (go back to the draft) or look to bring established players in.

"Whether it's this year or next year we will start to look at that, that will be a part of our plans."

Intrigue Simpson update as links to Carlton raise eyebrows

Premiership coach Adam Simpson's consultancy role at Carlton has placed him firmly in the conversation if the Blues were to move on from Michael Voss after a disappointing start to the season.

Pressure is mounting on Voss, and with no contract beyond 2026 and poor results, including the baffling loss to Melbourne.

But an update on Simpson has further raised suspicion that he could consider replacing Voss, if Carlton goes down that path.

Speaking on SENWA, Tim Gossage revealed that Simpson's media duties

"I don't know where, why and how," Gossage said.

"But he's been told to step back. And you do the sums.

"I'm tipping more there's a development. There's only two obvious options.

"He might be stepping away to give himself some clear air, not saying it's going to lead to a coaching job tomorrow.

"But the fact is, he stepped away from media."

Retired Power gun lifts lid on 10-minute exit interview

Charlie Dixon wanted to keep playing in 2025, but after a 10 minute exit interview with Port Adelaide, he quickly learned his time in the AFL had come to an end.

Dixon was 34 at the time, but thought he had more to offer going into Ken Hinkley's last season as coach.

"I had an idea about what I wanted to do and I voiced that to the club. I think I can do this again," Dixon said on SEN.

"You go in there, the 10 minutes go by, and you're walking out with a garbage bag full of your stuff and cameras in your face asking what are you doing.

"It wasn't great. You go through your stages, I got really angry. I destroyed myself, my body, for nine years for the football club and it took them 10 minutes to get rid of me.

"I was pretty wound up. It was a brutal reminder that this is a business and there's no feeling, there's no mates in it, I don't know."

Dixon revealed that Hinkley said that he "saved" the forward from playing in a tumultuous 2025 campaign, that was riddled with injuries and limited to nine wins.

Swans premiership coach shock supporter of casual clothes

Former Sydney coach John Longmire is in full support of players rocking up to games in casual clothes, following Melbourne's decision to provide its stars freedom to don whatever they want.

Notably, Demons recruit Changkuoth Jiath was the sharpest of the bunch, wearing fashionable jeans and a short with jewellery and a Louis Vutton duffle bag.

Ed Langdon walked in with a bike by his side as Koltyn Tholstrup wore slides and board shorts.

"I'm a massive yes on that," Longmire said to the shock of the AFL360 panel.

"I saw it happening in the (United) States for the last few years and I'm a massive yes.

"We've spoken about it internally, big fan of it.

"It'd be Brodie Grundy, myself and Brodie actually did a bit of our best work at Sydney Fashion Week. We were strutting the hallway last year."
