Gold Coast defender Wil Powell is understood to have plenty of interest from rival clubs this off-season after a promising 2020 campaign.

Powell is reportedly being chased by North Melbourne and a number of other clubs that have plenty of wiggle room with vacant list spots and cap space.

The young half-back was taken with pick 19 in the 2017 draft and could now find himself at a rival club come the conclusion of the upcoming trade window.

“He‘s (Powell) a person of interest in the recruiting ranks,” afl.com.au reporter Damian Barrett said on Footy Feed.

“Several clubs have made an approach to him, including North Melbourne, who do need to replace a lot of players on their list. He‘s a person of interest.”

Powell has played 35 games for the Suns and remains contracted with the club until the end of next year.
