Port Adelaide ruckman Peter Ladhams has reportedly nominated Sydney as his preferred landing spot for 2022.
Despite being contracted for next season, the 23-year-old was granted permission to assess his options elsewhere for the final year of his contract.
Ladhams has been limited to senior opportunities across the course of the past two seasons as he stands second-fiddle to veteran ruckman Scott Lycett at Alberton Oval.
The Norwood product was also battling for a place in Ken Hinkley's forward line, however Charlie Dixon, Todd Marshall and Mitch Georgiades have been favoured, while the Power also recruited Giants spearhead Jeremy Finlayson this trade window.
Now, according to AFL.com.au's Riley Beveridge, Ladhams has notified Port Adelaide that he would like to be traded to the Swans this exchange window.
Sydney were understood to be keen on acquiring Ladhams last season, however were able to attain Tom Hickey from West Coast to aid their ruck stocks instead.
With Hickey in the twilight of his career, Ladhams will be seen as the future for John Longmire's first-string ruck role.

Despite being open to parting ways with Ladhams, the Power rate the value of their ruck/forward utility, with the South Australian club likely to demand a first or second-round selection in return for Ladhams.
The Swans currently hold Picks 12, 31 and 39 as their best three selections for the 2021 National Draft.
