Collingwood forward Brody Mihocek is believed to be in a contract tug-of-war with the Magpies as he looks to secure a deal for 2021, per The Herald Sun.

The 27-year-old is understood to have been offered a three-year deal from Collingwood, with a "modest" pay rise included in the contract.

Mihocek had recently turned down a deal from the club where he believed the offered salary was below his pay-grade, with the Magpies looking to balance their books with a number of key names remaining without a deal for next year.

The rookie-listed player could be the one to be squeezed out of the club as Collingwood are likely to prioritise the contracts of stars Jordan De Goey and Darcy Moore while young gun Josh Daicos also remains out-of-contract.

Mihocek was a shining light in the Magpies' one-point elimination final win over West Coast on the weekend and would be seen as a perfect candidate for a number of clubs eyeing to build their forward structure.
