It's officially the AFL off-season, with free agency opening on Friday and the 2025 Trade Period will follow just days later.
All 18 clubs look set to be active in the player movement space, with some busier than others in looking to lure talent through their doors.
St Kilda, Geelong and Brisbane look to be among the more aggressive clubs in chasing top-line talent, while clubs like Fremantle and Richmond are seemingly more likely to place more of a focus on the draft.
Here we've looked at every club's potential trade and free agency moves, their current crop of off-contract players, confirmed departures and draft hand for the off-season.
5. Essendon
Reported Trade Targets: Sam Flanders, Brayden Fiorini, Jai Serong
Off-Contract Players: Ben Hobbs, Luamon Lual, Will Setterfield
Confirmed Departures: Alwyn Davey Jnr (delisted), Todd Goldstein (delisted), Jayden Laverde (delisted), Jye Menzie (delisted), Dylan Shiel (delisted), Oskar Smartt (delisted), Sam Draper (free agency)
Draft Hand: 4, 5, 22, 25
Unfortunately for Essendon, most of the attention on their list planning has been focused on the potential departures. The headline is Zach Merrett, and whether the Bombers captain will be on the move to Hawthorn. The Dons could stand firm and hold him to his contract, but that might mean a change of captaincy and a frustrated star player. Sam Draper's exit to Brisbane could come as early as this week at the opening of free agency, while the Dons have confirmed Jordan Ridley will remain in the red and black. As far as targets, Essendon have been linked to Gold Coast pair Sam Flanders and Brayden Fiorini, as well as Hawthorn defender Jai Serong, but the Bombers aren't alone in showing interest in those three names. An experienced ruckman is also a likely target given the exits of Draper and Todd Goldstein, with a player in the mould of Port Adelaide's Ivan Soldo one to consider as Nick Brayn recovers from an ACL injury sustained in April.
