The AFL's Match Review Officer has handed down three charges from Friday's game between Sydney and Carlton at the SCG, with Swans pair Joel Amartey and Justin McInerney handed suspensions for separate rough conduct incidents.
Amartey is facing three weeks on the sidelines for a fourth-quarter incident involving Carlton's Jordan Boyd. Amartey chose to make contact with Boyd instead of contesting for the ball, with the Swan's bump on the Blues defender leading the latter to suffer a concussion.
The MRO has graded the incident as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact, resulting in a three-game suspension against Amartey.
The Swans and Amartey can choose to challenge the suspension at the AFL Tribunal, while an accepted charge would see Amartey ruled out of upcoming matches against Melbourne, Adelaide and Richmond.
Sydney are scheduled for a bye in Round 14, meaning Amartey won't play for a total of four weeks, with his return to come after his side's break when the Swans face Port Adelaide.

McInerney has also been charged with rough conduct for his second-quarter collision with Blues swingman Jack Silvagni. The MRO has graded the incident as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact, resulting in a one-game ban.
An accepted sanction would see McInerney miss next week's meeting with Melbourne at the MCG.
The ban adds to a three-game suspension McInerney already served this year for a rough conduct offence on Brisbane's Brandon Starcevich in Round 1.
Lastly, Sydney tall Joel Hamling has been charged with striking Silvagni, with the Swans utility able to accept a $2000 fine with an early plea.
No other players were charged from Friday's game at the SCG.
